Are you having trouble making your mitered doors square?
Do you sometimes struggle with the joint on the corner of the door lining up properly?
Wood is "natural” and is not always straight; especially long lengths that are used on tall doors. It is not possible or safe for your operators to hold the part close enough to the front of the table (closest to where the actual cut will be made). If the part is not held perfectly against the (side) fence, this will affect the lateral alignment of the joint when it is assembled. Also this will affect the overall part length; this is not good on mitered doors because if both rails/stiles are not identical in length this will cause the joints in the door to be open across the miter and the doors will not be square.
We have a Solution!
"Side Pressure Clamps” The New MMTJ's includ special clamp devices we call "Side Pressure Camps”. These hold the part against the side 45° fences. This will eliminate the issue of board warp. This will also eliminate operator error; in them not getting the part tight up against the 45° fences. These are also upgradeable on MMTJ-3, MMTJ-4, and MMTJ-5.
Contact us to see if your MMTJ is upgradeable.
